How I've become Goldilocks...
As Little Mix have been singing and dancing about their hair a lot lately.. I feel it's time to continue the trend and shout out about mine!
For those who may or may not know (as my extensions are sooo au natural) .. From the age of 16 I have been addicted to wearing hair extensions. I was blessed with long locks from a young age but got the chop in P7 when the Spice Girls had the spikey ponytail trending.. and ever since.. My hair just does not grow to my satisfaction!
For many years I wore clip in extensions.. They were rather difficult to manage at times and I couldn't wear them with my hair up nor did they last..with me having to replace them every 6 weeks or so..costing a small fortune.
After being invited to a wedding in October 2014 I took the plunge and decided to treat myself to a set of Nano Rings. I did my research and I wanted someone local and with excellent reviews for her first few months of trade I decided to drop Caitlin from LusciousLengths a message. She invited me down to get my colour matched and when I went back to have them fitted.. VOILA.. I was made back into Goldilocks and you couldn't tell I had a fake strand of hair in my head!
Since then.. I am now only on my 4th set of extensions. In a year and a half it doesn't seem like much.. But Caitlins hair quality is amazing and lasts me months on end. I've also gone up and down in tones and she's been able to blend these in without having to refit my entire head of hair! She is a hair magician and absolutely amazing at what she does. Not only do people get extensions for length but they can also be added for volume.
Caitlin specialises in various different methods such as Bonds/Nano Rings/Mini Tips.. The celebrity sought after Easilocks and most recently the LA Weave.
Situated in Glow West Salon in West Belfast she is extremely handy and you can slip off for a wee sunbed straight after! (If you're going to treat yourself may as well do it properly!??)
Caitlin is also a finalist for 'Hair Extensionist of the year' at the Northern Ireland hair and beauty awards and she most definitely deserves it. (Best of Luck girl)
Anyone thinking of getting a set of extensions in do not hesitate. Mine are completely hidden when wearing my hair up and I can even wear them in French plaits. They are easy to maintain and take care of and are just absolutely beautiful.. I am forever getting compliments on my hair and as much as I like to pretend it's real it's only fair I give Caitlin the credit she deserves ;)
