Mount Ober Foot-Golf

When it gets to Sunday you like to do little or nothing.. But then you always feel like your day was wasted!

The weekend past was pretty chilled for us and it got to Sunday and we were yet again stuck for something different to do. Thanks Northern Ireland for being so fun.. Not! 

We left it down to the boys to come up with something as all they do is agree with what us girls want to do anyway and take no interest when it's happening.. So by letting them choose.. It seemed like a good idea. And for once.. It actually was!

It was decided that we would go and play some Foot-Golf. What the heck is Foot-golf? I'm sure your not too clued in on it either.. But it's apparently this new thing that is popping up in various spots across NI. Football takes up my life.. With both my boyfriend and my sisters boyfriend being infatuated by the sport - it's all we listen to. Every day.. Every night.. Every weekend. But they were like kids at Christmas with the idea of playing a bit of foot golf, and we couldn't say no! Especially with my other half sporting a full kit with his boots lol.

There are apparently a couple of different ones to go to.. One being in Newcastle.. but we went with the one in Mount Ober..  in East Belfast as we wanted our obligatory Sunday Nandos on the way home! Obvs.

It took us about 15 mins off the M1 and was easy enough found. It was previously an actual golf course but has now be turned into a foot- golf course. There's a choice of 9 holes or 18 holes.. We went for the 18 for the sake of an extra few quid you get an extra 45 mins or so play! It took us nearly 2 hours to get round! Some Tees we spent 20 minutes at trying to get the ball in the hole.. It really was harder than you think! Great craic though.. Especially when the boys had money on the winner lol.

It is scored just like a normal game of golf.. Make sure you bring someone who understands golf also to help you keep on track of your scores!

It was £8 for 9 holes and £12 for £18. Ball hire is £1 or you can bring your own! They give you a score card and off you go!

I would definitely recommend this for a group of people wanting a laugh.. You can even rent golf buggies! It does get very competitive but I literally laughed the whole way round.. Mostly at myself but some of our shots were horrendous. I managed to come 3rd! Out of 4 haha.
